Wildlife and plant life in Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

A Purple Heron in Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. In all the years that I have been 
visiting this park, initially with children in tow and now only with the spouse, I have not seen a Purple Heron this close. Having a camera with a reasonably powerful zoom lens helped to magnify the joy of seeing this magnificent big bird perched on a tree branch waiting to catch a fish.

Sungei Buloh is also a haven for migratory birds between the months of November and March. Now, the numbers are starting to increase. Other than birds, the flora and fauna of Sungei Buloh never fail to fascinate me.
