Dragonflies in Admiralty Park

Dragonflies are posers. I read that they are very efficient killers and they can focus on a particular prey even if it is flying in a swarm and succeed most of the time in catching it for food. From a distance, they look pretty, hovering in the air, zig-zagging here and there, resting on twigs and leaves long enough for several photos to be taken. On closer examination, some of them look like they have faces and expressions. Closer still, you will see that they are frightening killing machines and I would like like to imagine, as Science Fiction has, what they might be like if they were larger than humans. Shudder!
